Spring may be in the air, but so is Love!

Don't get too excited. There is no update on my love life. Although, that'd be nice as well.

Although I like to teach kids to read, reading for pleasure is not a strength of mine. I'm a hypocrite. I encourage kids to read, yet never enjoyed it. If I see a big book like the ones Hannah reads or Momma and Tracey's Kristen Hannah's books, I want to cringe and cut my library card in half.

Yet, there is one genre of book I like to read. They're short, sweet, and light. Just enough to hold my attention. NASCAR Harlequin Romance books are my thing! Of course, I go through phases. Right now, I'm on. I'm waking up at 5:20 in the am just to get 30 minutess of reading in on the ellipitical after spinning but before school (follow that?).

Currently, I'm about to finish Winning It All by Liz Allison. Check it out!

Moral of the story: As I always encourage my students, find the genre that you like and then, enjoy!
