They're back...Tuesday Tidbits...the bits and pieces of life that are happening and I can't do anything about them... except embrace them...
- Everyone should receive immunity from gaining 5 lbs during the winter months...between Christmas and the depression of having to run on a treadmill inside, we deserve immunity.
- Mark this down: I stuck to my Christmas list and Christmas budget. I thought I may feel good after meeting this goal, but I really could careless.
- I would like to have a sleepover in Barnes and Noble one night. Since the comfy couches are always taken and I feel as though people stare you down if you read a book, I think it's a clever idea.
- I absolutely adore the first 15 mins of the Today show with my AM drink in hand.
- I slightly have a hankering to read. I think I will.
- The Williams B & B gave me monogrammed stationary for Christmas. I asked Santa for this. He must have dropped it off in Cville.
- L got a Fur Real dog from Santa. The day was spent having Cupcake, the dog, go shopping with us. If a someone thinks 5 girls shopping is boring, then he/she hasn't been shopping with 5 girls + a Fur Real dog...Granted I didn't find it boring, but it did naturally slow the trek down. But, during those moments of watching L slowly walk behind the 2 MPH moving white, fluffy dog...you could only think 'how simple and happy life seems to her.' I slightly wanted Cupcake to slow down to 1 MPH to enjoy the moment even more...only slightly.
- From the quote chain email & Ellen:
Success: To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded! ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Moral of the Story: I truly feel like every day I live and learn while I'm learning to live. Kudos to everyone who's on this journey with me.
We added a Go-Go puppy to our family as well! We haven't taken her out in public yet, but maybe we should give it a try.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and happy new year!!
