What a day? A rollercoaster day...it's like a back-slap to reality.
- The alarm didn't go off...it's ok I only woke up 10 mins late...
- Students were a tad off... a student called MLK a menace he/she meant minister
- I was a tad off..a student told me how she had Chinese last night...Student A: "I got mussels." Me (as I flex): "Me too!"
- I never got a break. Realized it was 5:30 before I went to the bathroom.
- I found out while trying to prepare kiddos for SOLs that a young 10-year-old girl passed away from a long, strong battle against cancer this AM.
Puts things in perspective, eh?
Anyone watch President Obama's speech? Puts things in perspective, eh?
After a rollercoaster day, everything being throw at you, lows and ups, to the left and to the right, it was great to have dinner with Liz, chat with my parents, and videochat with G and D. (I even slipped in a short conversation with D).
Puts things in perspective, eh?
I had a great convo with my principal today about this. I loved that we shared our thoughts.
Moral of the Story: What matters to you? What matters to me? Puts things in perspective...Put things in perspective.
