Birthday!

23rd Birthday...Reunion in DC
22nd Birthday at Mellow
Christina's Amazing Monkey Bread--to die for
I love birthdays...and, we all know that selfishly I love mine! I'm unashamed. I grew up loving the 'pick me up' during the  middle of Spring. Spring ushered in my birthday.

My dad, good-naturedly, shares with people that we don't celebrate Pentecost but Annecost in our family.

I have loved year 23 of my life.  But, I definitely got my eyes on year 24.

I felt like year 23 of Anne was a holding year...a time for focusing then refocusing then rebuilding. It was a beautiful year of transition.

Now, I feel as though year 24 is on the arc of a new phase of life.

Birthdays as kids were fun because you felt like a queen. I absolutely ADORED birthdays in college because they lasted a solid week and were so joyful.

Birthdays as adults are different. But, if not, more truthful and more celebratory of a year of complete authentic devotion to living life to the best of my capabilities.  This birthday feels like a victory.

Surprise 21st Dr. Quinn themed...thanks Ellen & Lauren
Moral of the Story: The American Cancer Society's motto is here's to a world with more birthdays. And, for that God, I am whole-heartedly grateful.

20th Birthday for Steph & I
