This is currently in my classroom. I had an extra box. A student asked if he could make something out of it during free time. Sure, why not? (Then, we proceeded to clean the room of any random things and craft supplies.) Last time I checked, the Exploration Boat was named 'Beverly Anne' and the water was called the 'Sea of Knowledge' with addition, subtraction, and fraction fish swimming in it.
What kids see?
Moral of the Story: To an adult's eye it may be simple, to a child's eye it is anything but simple.
