living water: I shamelessly love food...

Caveat: These thoughts may be slightly spurred by deprivation of anything sweet for 39 out of 40 days. I ~~see~~ taste the light of the end of the tunnel.

I am unashamed.

Garth Brooks may sing how he's shameless about love.

I sing that I'm shameless about food.

3 calories or 3,000 calories...I like it.

However, the more calories the better.

It's a cute, little game I play with myself to see if I can get the biggest bang (best taste) for the smallest buck (fewer calories).

I win at this game during the week. Anni-1...Food-0...

Down in my heart of hearts, I do adore fruit and veggies and abhor chips. Truly, I'm not being sarcastic.

But, I also LOVE cheese, peanut butter, and chocolate.

But, let me tell you, once the weekend comes I'm on 'Timeout' from that lame, cute, little game. Anni-1...Food-5 million

I want the hole-in-the-wall Pete's Pizza covered in onions and peppers. I want the Chik-fil-a spicy chicken biscuit.

I want it all. The 200 calorie BOGO smoothie doesn't even tempt me, but the mozzarella sticks do.

I almost jumped out of my chair when I realized Pete's had mozzarella sticks. What?!! I've been coming here since before I was born and never knew this.

You know it's bad, when I can say I want the 'usual' and everyone knows what that means.

Food is my thing. It's a social thing. Dinner with you here. Dinner with what's-her-face here. Chat here. Chat there.

I'm ok with it.

I want to be like Michelle Obama. Fit. Pure. Feminine. Strong. Curvy. Eats. Healthy. And, touches the Queen of England (because no one is better than anyone in this world...you go girl!).

I'd rather eat. Than be an alcoholic. Than be a druggie. Heck, I'd be thin then. But, at the end of the day, I do love my food.

Moral of the Story: I'm shameless. I love food. Take it or leave it.
