This time of year goes very deep for me. This week means a lot to me (and the world). Giving up sweets has been so easy this year. Refraining from something I enjoy has strengthened me spiritually. I knew Jesus not dark chocolate (I like both). Jesus refrained from many things...hatred, verbal digressions, etc. He also refrained from the norms of society. I pray to be like Jesus. I pray for the strength to go in the desert for 40 days while being tempted yet rising a victor.

This is a week of rememberance, acknowledgment, and getting back to the fiber of my being. Why am I here? How did I get here? Why me? What is my purpose?

Moral of the Story: I don't think I could live life without my faith...
