My thoughts...

‎"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy." - Martin Luther King, J

This is what I felt last night. It made me internally cringe to see people taunting on Facebook or yelling obscenities and demeaning statements on the news.

There's a difference between joining together and supporting the USA like at the Phillies vs Mets game last night when they were chanting and celebrating and then saying gross, condescending things.

It's just like a high school game. We coach the girls that you can always cheer on our team, but you can never, under any circumstances, boo another team.

I know, many of you are thinking, but he was the mastermind of 9/11.

I agree. But, in life we're supposed to take the higher road.

There's a way to celebrate the United States' intelligence and implementation of a successful strategy and what this means on the war of global terrorism, but we don't have to undermind humanity.

Moral of the Story: This is appropriate and fills me with pride.
