Shoutouts...

While I've been swept up in a world of Relay, SOLs, and LAX playoffs...the Earth has kept spinning, birds have kept pooping on my windshield, and and students have kept sneezing in my face...so, the world has continued spinning...

Here are my shoutouts:

• Ellen & Logan both became superheroes as they received their Masters hood this past weekend. Smart girls!
• Today's my mom's birthday. We celebrated at Chik-Fil-A with Schu and Dad before a rained out LAX game.
• I got flowers today! It has always been my dream to get flowers at school. Granted it was kinda anti-climatic bc we're in SOL focus instruction so I couldn't really check them out; but,  I have a student bring me the card which meant more than anything...thanks to that special person b/c they made me feel special. I'm going to leave them at school during the next 2 weeks of SOL as a reminder that someone believes in me.
• Swimmer Kat subbed at my school on Friday and volunteered to spend her free time helping some of my kiddos; she even came in today! It takes such a team to get kids into tip-top shape.
• I busted it. My leg is completely scraped up from ankle to knee.

Moral of the Story: Life goes on...
