I like you...I'm ok if you leave...

That's how my days have gone this week. Vascilate. That's what I do.

One moment, I love my kids. The next, I'm ready for another batch. The next, I'm slightly sappy at the progress made. Then, the cycle continues.

Right now, I'm slightly sappy.

I'm not that teacher that gives As. I'm not that teacher that gives every child an award. In my room, you earn it.

So, I wanted to try to 'cook' up something that represented the kiddos.

My classroom theme (slightly makes me want to barf, that I have one, but it's economical and works) is Smart Cookies.

So, a teacher/friend and I came up with this idea that Martha Stewart somewhat created. We just helped edit her idea.

Cookie medals...

The kids actually picked a word to represent themselves. Please check them out. They don't know what the chosen word was for.

Meghan and I made an emergency run at 7 in the scorching heat to get the cookies in the school.

Granted Martha's may be better, but ours were truly fun to make as we sang to Broadway tunes and laughed as we improvised.

Moral of the Story: After delivering the cookies, we walked back in her apt to this song...totally the mood.
