Sweet days...the Light has arrived.

Today was a day that when I look forward to next year and back at teaching when I retire...I will remember it.

The light at the end of the tunnel has arrived. And, o, is it bright and great.

It was a truly fun day. A day when I woke up I did not know it would be so great.

It was a day sprinkled with friendship and tender moments that made the memories.

  • Pull into the gym: to a sweet deer just grazing at the entrance
  • Field Day: the park, Subway, games, tug-of-war into a pool, glorious weather, FREE time, deep convos with kiddos, parents, and colleagues...shoot'n the breeze elementary-style...
  • Sweet Friends: one popped into my classroom...granted the convo was maybe 5 mins...but 5 mins is so nice
  • Door Prize Drawing for Teacher Appreciation Week: the grand prize was a Wii, I put all my tickets in the cup, I was going to the bathroom when they called that I won it.
  • Meeting after school: for something really cool
  • Cookout for Varsity & JV lax: parents, grilled food, delish sweets, awards, presents, deep convos
  • Wine with Nice People: at 9, i needed to slip by to get some relay checks from some people whose daughter just happens to play hockey for me but they're ol' school cpep people...before I knew it, it was 11, wine had been savored, and we had shot the breeze pleasantly...
Moral of the Story: A parent asked me today, "How do you do it? How do you keep so refreshed?"  Simple answer: Days like this.
