Talking Point #3 out of 3-Living Water

There is a truth. We are living.

There is a truth. We need water.

Water is a necessity of life.

Just as water quenches my thirst physically, another type of water quenches my soul.

Living water.

As a human, I try to quench my thirst with other things (yes, I ordered that dress from Gap! yes, where's that Cinnabon?). I always end up thirsty again. Yearning.

I've learned, over and over again, Jesus is the only one who can quench my thirst. Anyone or anything else always wears out or leaves me wanting again.

I have to check myself at time. Honestly, I feel like I get slapped back to reality at times. I love that friends and family hold me accountable.  I also adore a circle of friends I have who are great encouragers.

Without living water, I dry out spiritually.

With living water, my hope is always renewed. With living water, meaning is brought to every experience. With living water, joy is contagious. With living water, I am loved. With living water, I get a second change. With living water, internal peace is comforting.

Moral of the Story: John 4: 13-1413Jesus said to her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again,14but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.[a] The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
