- Run the Cville 4-Miler for Breast Cancer with friends. 3700 women ran. While the power of one is amazing, the power of 3700 women is triumphant. It was sobering to be running with women going through treatments, fighting for someone else, or remembering loved ones. 30 seconds into the race I got POed that I even had to be running it that I was in a zone for most of it. I refused to feel pain because running 4 miles is nothing compared to the race for your life.
- Enjoy family. G had a game. It was nice to JUST BE with the second family in Cville.
- Tailgate like no other. Only Kat drove up for the game. H decided to come with us. There is nothing better than giving H a tour of UVA and answering her questions and allowing her to share in the atmosphere of grand ol' UVA. There's also nothing better than tailgating with Dad than tailgate hopping as we work our way to the stadium. It was so cool to see H's excitement at EVERYTHING.
- Sing the Good Ol' Song more than once. Kat and I boycotted the singing of the Good Ol' Song before the game. Who does that? Yuck. I did have a purpose of being able to lock arms with Kat and H as many times as I could and sway back in forth for my dear Ol' UVA. And, that goal was achieved!
- Conversations with D. We've gone from when I was 19 and prob talked about an unrealistic future to 24 and talking about the realities of life.
a place where the thirsts of the journey of life may be acknowledged but perhaps not quenched
