Christmas in the Classroom

It's October 18th. Not Christmas. But, you couldn't wipe the grins, gasps, stares, and excitement off 22 Smart Cookies today.

Another great family from Cville donated books to the classroom. Great, quality, high-interest books. A classroom can never have enough.

It was like 22 kiddos in Wonka's Chocolate Factory.

Do we get to read these? Yes. Can I take one home? Of course.

I'm adamant about letting my students know when something is donated. I make sure to let them know that others believe in them and what to support them in their learning pursuits.

What's so cool is then the kids step up when its their turn to give back whether it be for the food closet or giving a peer a pencil or giving change and wearing sports wear for wounded warriors.

Donating has a full circle effect.

Moral of the Story: Pay it forward.
