A Frightful Halloween

Fright. Fear. Scary.
At 10:15, we loaded aboard the activity bus for the long haul to our regional playoff game just down the road.

About 3.5 hours down the road. With 25ish high schoolers. On Halloween. A day with no school for students.

Fright. Fear. Scary.

Yes, 3 freshmen came in their Halloween costumes.

Schu and I made Cyclone goody bags so the kiddos could have a 'trick or treat.'

Yes, we pit-stopped and had a buffet line for lunch at a rest stop on the side of 64.

Fright. Fear. Scary.

25ish high schoolers with 4 coaches. Golliday.

We played the 3-time defending state champions.

Fright. Fear. Scary.

We lost.

Schu's parents came to watch.

No fright. No fear. No scary.

We loaded back up and headed to Peirce's BBQ. Slightly famous. With a team of delirious high schoolers.

Fright. Fear. Scary.

We had photo ops. Stopped at convenience stores. Performed Olympic winning routines in car washes. Chatted away for hours.

Fright. Fear. Scary.

We pulled back in at 10:00. Hockey season is now over. Exactly 3 months ago we began.

Fright. Fear. Scary.

Moral of the Story: The only frightful, fearful, scary thing about this Halloween is now we have to wait 9 months for another in-season time.
