Black Friday the Fun Way...Part 1

This, by far, was the most fun Black Friday that I've ever had.

I think I have the recipe down for success and fun.

  1. Plan ahead. I have a post-it for each store with all relevant info.
  2. Take friends. I have done this on my own but it's hilarious to text 'winner, winner chicken dinner!' for whoever finds the most random item first. Plus, who doesn't love the feeling when teamwork is successful.
  3. Charge your phone. I failed at that this year.
  4. Bring a smile and your sense of humor. People like you better.
  5. Body position and language. It's all about looking relaxed but angling your body for the item.
  6. Don't give up. I got a TV last year bc of this. My cousin and I scooted our butts around Kohl's for 1.25 hours while people gave up. My last stop was just to stand in line at Belk, but I got a gift card for doing it!
  7. Dress appropriately. Layers are a must. And, comfortable, non-tripping shoes are too.
Stop 1: Walmart...Mere and I
scrambled to get 1 of the 7 Ping
Pong Tables...

Stop 2: Target...Where we became the show...
first aid was needed, iHop got ambushed by us,
coffee run was made, Luna Bars were given
to us...and we Door Busted! Everyone got
TVs. Including Dad, who just had to drive in
and pay for it. Thanks to our team.
Stop 3: Kohl's...My cousin hung in there as
we people watched from the floor of the line.

The loot...plus, some still in the garage...
Moral of the Story: The stuff didn't make it fun, but the laughter at 1 am did.
