Breaking Stereotypes, Exhibit A-Christmas Cards

Who needs a husband or wife or new baby or a nuclear family to send out a Christmas card?

I find it hilarious that some people think it's funny or comment on my Christmas card and that I send one out.

Who needs the stereotype that a holiday card must be decked out with your spouse, kids, and adventures of the year?

Banco and I and some holiday spirit have donned a Snapfish holiday card since my first year at UVA.

(Granted, it's a great deal, too!)

My purpose of the card is to acknowledge and affirm friendships and relationships while acknowledging God's love shines on Christmas yet throughout the year.

The people I send them to have been apart of my journey and have shaped me.

Moral of the Story: Next year, I may just blow-up stereotypes and do a 15-photo collage of myself and Banco and our journey of life. Stereotypes are overrated.
