No Longer a Stella & Dot, Ikea, or Hostess Virgin

I absolutely adore the feeling off crossing something off of my 'I've-never-done-that-before' list...

#1) I crossed off attending a Stella and Dot party this weekend.

I was more excited to socialize than buy jewelry. The only jewelry I have is a class ring from UVA (after my aunt graciously suggested I get one since I refused to get one from high school) and the pearls my uncle got me a few years ago.

I think the Lady Seller knew that I was there more to catch up with old friends and chow down on gluten-free brownies than buy jewelry.

Me: "I don't even know my ring size."
Lady Seller: "Do you need a ring sizer?"
Me: "No."

#2) I crossed off never having been enchanted by the floors, rooms, and millions of things at IKEA.

We ventured up to NOVA and spent hours meandering and piddling in IKEA. I found things for the house, for Christmas presents, and for the future.

#3) I had my first weekend guest. Christina came for the weekend.

I had towels, food, drinks, extras of this and that. More importantly, we loved our weekend of laughing,  shopping, talking, thinking out loud, running into people in Culpeper, visiting my parents, and of course Target. What's so nice is that Christina has been coming to Cpep for years now since we were 2nd years at UVA. So, people remember her and she remembers everything.

Moral of the Story: While these things didn't freak me out, they were new and it was a fun experience.
