Christmas 2011 |
- I had some good laughs before 7am.
- Katie Couric is going to be the speaker at UVA graduation. I can't even remember who spoke at both of mine.
- The internet server was down at school. No email or IM. It was weird. But, I flipped into Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman mode and savored the moment.
- My friend Ellen thinks 3rd graders are her favorite. And, she's in TN.
- Interesting article in the Washington Post. Sent to me by a few friends. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/answer-sheet/post/when-an-adult-took-standardized-tests-forced-on-kids/2011/12/05/gIQApTDuUO_blog.html?wprss=answer-sheet
- I had my 3rd DonorsChoose project completed today! I must thank my friend Rebecca for her suggestion. You can support her room online, as well.
- I split a Nutty Butty with a teammate at school today. (This is very rare.) Little Debbies should have their own statue in DC.
- I love wearing shorts and long sleeve shirts.
- My new favorite thing is pressing the 'projector down' or 'projector up' button at my uncle's building downtown. I felt like Buddy the Elf marveling at the simplicity yet engrossing concept of it coming out of the ceiling. I even gave a countdown. My poor Co-chair.
- I'll toot my horn for a sec. I think I may have gotten one of my top 5 teaching compliments today. "Ms. R I just think you're the best. I love that you don't treat us like babies and talk in weird voices and fix mistakes we make. You make us solve our own problems." I ate it up with a spoon. But, she/he affirmed my purpose.
- It's warm outside.
- My uncle hopped over to have a 12 minute Christmas card photo shoot. Here's the winner. Welp, it's the only one that Banco was doing his job and looking at the camera. They're ordered.
- Lovetown is coming back to Cpep. I'm not sure how I feel about this.
- Christmas is a state of mind.
- Knock, knock. Who's there? Ru. Ru who? Rudolph. (That's how I spend my last 5 minutes with my kiddos.)
- UVA Bball is 8-1. Best start since 04. UVA allows the 2nd fewest points in the nation.
- Did the dinosaurs get left off the ark?
Moral of the Story: Last weekend, when I was in Cville. H and I were in Barracks. We got to a crosswalk and I started hopping across like Buddy the Elf. H had a choice. She looked both ways and began to hop too.
My favorite outfit is a short sleeve shirt and long pants (jeans). And of course flip flops. Your Tuesday sounds perfect.
