Tuesday Tidbits

Siku, the polar bear
#1) Have you seen Siku? the one month old polar bear? Ahhh. Such a breath of fresh air. Google it.
#2) I get more compliments on my hipster. This cracks me up due to the fact that I may own less than 5 purses. And, it wasn't until after UVA that I actually started using one. I highly recommend Spartina. T has one, too.  I've had mine for a little over a year and it seems like it's still new. www.spartina.com  You can get them at Pepperberries in Cpep. I know a few elves who got some wives or ladies one for Christmas.
L took this, while we
waited for Siku
#3) Only Kat and I watched BridesMaids tonight. We were beyond confused. We think it's supposed to be a girls' version of Hangover...to quote Kat: "That's the lamest excuse for a movie." We laughed more or made faces more at the thought that we were supposed to be laughing at different moments.
#4) I have no problem sharing my political thoughts when asked but I don't broadcast them. However, I do think it's funny that Newt Gingrich couldn't get organized enough to get himself on the ballot in his homestate of VA.
#5) My new favorite things on vacay include purging boxes in the basement, knitting, using the DVR, and shopping sales but not buying.
#6) The Christmas tree is down. It was much easier to take it down. I'm indifferent about 'types' of Christmas tree. But, I'm extremely thankful that Santa stuffed my stocking with an artificial Christmas tree.
#7) Ellen has inspired me to want to get to know Eleanor Roosevelt more.
#8)"When you grow up you tend to get told the world is the way it is and you're life is just to live your life inside the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family, have fun, save a little money. That's a very limited life. Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build
your own things that other people can use. Once you learn that, you'll never be the same again." ~ Steve Jobs
#9) I love Criminal Minds.
#9A) I love clicking unsubscribe on emails.
#10) While I thought this was cute, I want to do this with the 5 million oranges Dad gave me from FFA.

Moral of the Story: Don't let yesterday take up too much of today.
