Baked Goods from the Heart

About once a week, there's a knock (ok, sometimes pounding) on my classroom window. It's nothing scary. It's an adult in the bushes. She always has containers. She passes them through the window. And, the kids call her 'Miss Donor.' She doesn't want credit. She doesn't even walk into the school. Whenever, she makes things for her kids' classes at a private school. She makes some for the Smart Cookies.

I then do whatever her handwritten-on-paint-tape directions say, wash the containers, and return them to her when we workout.

Because of these and her, 22 kids now
know what 'red velvet tastes like.' A student
called these 'heaven on wheels.'
Moral of the Story: You never know what good may lay behind a knock.
