Mix of New & Old

Lately, I feel like I'm in a season where I'm standing one foot in the old while the other foot is in the new.

Today was  a day that I vascillated between the comfort of the old and the excitement of the new.


But, dappled in between was smiles, texting, facebooking, and emailing.

Today, I did the classic, comforting old of early am Combat, Relay, coaching, lunch-making, vacuuming, listening to the Today show, dinner with the parents.

Today, I also did the new. I cleaned all my blinds and woodwork. I figured out a baby registry and navigated the aisles of baby-land in Target. I ordered outdoor furniture and picked up my new favorite thing--Windex.


While I continue to make steps out of my comfort zone, I enjoy meandering back to routine of yummy water in a UVA cup to the Today show.

Moral of the Story: As I move forward, I'm aware of what's behind me.
