Saturday PM Babysitting

I got asked a while ago to babysit for a friend's wedding.

Our families are friends. Worth and her went to school together. Worth went to the wedding since they're the same age. I babysat the Chapel Hill crew.

A 7 year-old, 5 year-old, 17 month-old, and a 15 month-old...4 PM to midnight.

Good stuff.

My parents came over. Momma and I had so much fun.

It did make me think of the day I have kids.

Momma is such a Grammy she gave into those 4 kiddos much more than I was willing too. Perfect, I want her to spoil my kids.

Daddy played baseball with them. He got nailed in the face. The ball was plastic. I laughed.

The kiddos were so well-behaved. I mean a 15-month old who all I do is have to give a non-verbal shake of the head no and then he doesn't do the inappropriate behavior...yes, the future is bright for society!

I was ok with this, bc she wanted  to
see her 'plop' and she solved her own problem.

I did diapers, Momma played Old Maid.

Momma got way too excited to read little books to the kids.

We watched the Little Mermaid and played Mother May I.

We decorated for Memorial Day and played blocks.

We fed birds and went for a walk.

Momma fried chicken for us (before she came...smart).

Anyway, back to it made me think of my future.

I also forgot how much I loved L when she was 15 months old. What a great age.

The glimpse of a family that shares meals together and tag teams duties while laughing and loving on kids.

Moral of the Story: I know I'm blessed to have 2 parents who are really good with kids.
