Tonight, I worked the concession stand.
Thank goodness 2 teacher friends were along for the ride.
We didn't stop for 5 hours.
"Fries please."
"That'll be $2."
"Sure, I can break that $100."
"Hey buddy, ready for school?"
About 800 football kiddos and not-so-kiddos kicked off the football season with a jamboree.
The Shields brothers performed. We missed it as we sold hot dogs and cheese fries, but from what I hear there was nothing but smiles and laughter. (truly there was no complaint or disgruntled customer).
It was a lot of work and a lot of fun; all wrapped up for some good causes.
Anything that brings the community together, is a good thing.

Moral of the Story: If teaching doesn't work, fast food may be my place.
