Momma Monday: That Christmas Feeling!!!

That Christmas Feeling:

  • Church--the celebration of the birth of our Christ  The wonderful inner peace that church brings to the excitement and celebration of the season.  Dave, Anni, and Worth and I are practicing the theme of our church--Advent Conspiracy.
  • Family!  Family! Family!  What a lovely time with my brother and his family and Page and Jimmy!  On Saturday, we celebrated Christ the King and our family at a beautiful dinner that Drew and his wife hosted. On Sunday afternoon, we celebrated again at our home!  Our precious Mother is no longer with us, but her spirit lives on!  The chain of life continues in our beautiful children.
  • We loved the addition of Anni and The Farmer's lovely homemade gifts to our celebration!
  • We have a past international tennis player that Worth coached last year spending Christmas with us.  He couldn't go home this year to Belaruse, a province of Russia.
  • Beautiful memories of Christmas pasts and comfort of knowing that there are memories still to be made.
  • The excitement of gift shopping and wrapping and cooking.  I love making Christmas festive for Dave, Anni, and Worth and my family!
  • I love decorating our home.  Worth teases me!  However, Worth didn't know I was home and I heard him in the living room telling Stack, our guest, about our Santas and snow globes on the hutch--Momma's santas have joined our collection.  He even wound up all the snow globes and played the music.
  • Loving how Anni and Worth appreciate and "demand" our traditions.  They don't want stuff to change.  Their presents cannot be in gift bags, they have to be be wrapped.  It would not be Christmas without Christmas breakfast, our celebration Drew and Page, and visiting Grandma Richardson in Maryland.
  • Loving that Dave and I have created these traditions for our children.
  • Best of all, realizing that after this wonderful season--though our family might not be geographically close that our memories, love, and traditions bind us together!!!
Wish you a Merry, Merry Christmas!!!!!
