Murder Mystery Dinner-Round 2

Tonight was the Murder Mystery Dinner-a benefit for Relay For Life of Culpeper.

We have been practicing on Sunday afternoons for awhile. Today was dress rehearsal starting at one. I tore ripped my panty hose at 5. I ran home. The guests arrived at 6:30.

This is an event that I really enjoy because it's so not me. Drama, theatrics, staging, voicing would not be under my strengths column. Nor, did these topics ever interest me. What are they? So, it's challenging.

Last year, I played a drunken slut which was beyond out of my comfort zone.

This year, I played an educational consultant which was a tad more in my comfort zone. But, I had to slap The Farmer.

This is an event that I really enjoy because it's so not about me. Most of the people in crowd I don't know, but there's a good gaggle that I do. Thankfully, they're great at playing along. I know audience members who have really been looking forward to the night. Deciding what they will wear, who will they bring, and what will the food be.

It's a mystery.

I love watching their faces throughout the play.

The proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society which funds ground-breaking research, patient support services, advocacy, and cancer education.

On the backside, I embrace how all these individuals have no experience, but come together to create a play. A lot of work goes into it. A lot of hands. A lot of heart.

Moral of the Story: I'm still trying to figure out, "Who done it?"
