Teacher on the Floor

Children are always humbling.

Amongst the Smart Cookies, an accident occurred today.

I was amongst euphoria as we were learning and grooving with Social Studies. Videos were playing, iPads were going, flashcards were flipping, etc.

And, then...

I suggested to a student that I sit where they were so that they could control Youtube.

And, then...

I sat...

But, there was no chair.

The teacher was on the floor in her polka dot skirt.

The student took the chair to sit in. Horror graced their faces.

And, then, I laughed.

And, we had a moment.

Thankfully, I was fine.

But, in that moment, I adored the community of the classroom.

Moral of the Story: You may be grooving and then you hit the floor.
