The French Braid

The good ol' French Braid.

It's a braid that I've never been able to conquer.

I used to practice relentlessly on my American Girl dolls.

My braids just never came out right. And, then to be able to braid it on your own hair.

I was slightly jealous of people who had the ability and arm muscles to pull it off.

Today, we had a layover in practices as it poured rain and we watched game footage.

A player asked if she could braid my hair. Who doesn't love having their hair played with? So, I said absolutely yes.

Here's what came out. She was so proud of herself. And, I was thrilled to have my hair doing something different.

Moral of the Story: You are never too old to try a new hair do.
