I love to ask people what their high and low of their day was. I learn so much. It's like a barometer of their day.
My low, literally, was that my polka dot tights were cute but were not made for someone of my height. I was determined to rock them. Well, they rocked me. They continually rolled down all day. So much that I wore my parka inside my classroom to cover this slow progression down my backside in the classroom. I felt like a roll of wrapping paper having the plastic covering slowed pulled back. Needless-to-say, I either need to shrink or retire those polka dots.
The high of my day was this moment on the Today show. If you are a mom, watch the whole video and listen to the lyrics. Then, run and get some toilet paper to dab your tears. It's Garth Brooks singing his new song entitled "Mom."
Moral of the Story: Never try to rock a clothing item made for someone a foot shorter than you even if it's really cute.
