Ain't Goin' Down 'til the Sun Comes Up

Another road trip...
20-hour round trip drive to Nashville
21-hours in Nashville

We made the best of our time in Nashville. Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman Auditorium, Tootsie's, Broadway, Opryland, Wildhorse Saloon, Garth Brooks concert, Pancake Pantry, and the Parthenon at Cenntennial Park. Thanks to Blizzard, youth, and functioning on no sleep made for another great trip with Only Kat.
The hours in Blizzard were spent knitting, talking, analyzing life, not thinking, looking at billboards, trying to find the coolest license plate, counting the number of Cracker Barrels, visiting shady gas stations, waving to people who had UVA stickers, singing pop/country/Christmas carols/worship music, and watching snow.
At the Country Music Hall of Fame...the last thing I felt like doing was reading/thinking...so I paid the extra $4 for the audio phone contraption

Elvis's Gold Cadillac...coated in 40 coats of crushed diamonds and lined with 24 kt gold
Standing on the legendary Ryman Stage
The Ryman began as a church

Opryland at Christmas
Kat and I at Opryland

Southern Comfort food (and wine for me) at the Wildhorse Saloon

Crossing another thing off on my life to-do list...twice...seeing Garth Brooks in concert!
Me in front of the exact-to-ratio model of the Parthenon in Nashville
TomTom, the GPS, has announced 'Culpeper.' And, the crowd goes wild!

Moral of the Story: The chorus to my favorite Garth Brooks song...I used to play this windows down, heading to hockey practice every day during my high school days...

Standing outside the fire
Standing outside the fire
Life is not tried it is merely survived
If you're standing outside the fire

There's this love that is burning
Deep in my soul
Constantly yearning to get out of control
Wanting to fly higher and higher
I can't abide standing outside the fire
