Cville heals the soul...
It's the perfect blend of nostalgia, beauty, freedom, challenge, relaxation, change of pace, God's love, domestication, comfort, newness, and routine.
Moral of the Story: I walked in 20 minutes late to church due to a late start from Cville. I dug out of my car sneakers to replace the bedroom slippers on my feet. Wearing windpants and a dri-fit jacket, I marched right up the aisle to my normal seat...not too close to the front, not too far back...After church, Pastor Randy came up to me, "It just made me so happy to see you coming up that aisle. I could tell you had had quite the weekend yet you were so at peace..."
Side note: I couldn't help but love that the one worship song I got to sing due to my tardiness...was Blessed Be Your Name...whether in the wilderness (a few days earlier in the week) or in the land that is plentiful (end of week/weekend)...Blessed Be Your Name...a year ago I don't know if I would have claimed that during the wilderness...
