Quite Simply...

I believe in the child who has nothing.

I believe in the child who is told she'll never read.

I believe in the child who does not know what the night will bring.

I believe in the child who only holds books when in my classroom.

I believe in the child who finds their time of day with me as their oasis.

I believe that SES will not correlate to your success in my classroom.

I believe that every child is this country's hope.

I believe in the child that I have to feed physically, emotionally, socially, and academically.

I believe 5 years, 10 years, 20 years down the road shares his/her day with me.

I believe in the child who does not know he/she can believe.

I believe in the child who does not yet believe in himself/herself.

Moral of the Story: I believe that perseverance will conquer.
