Today was the last day...the kids (and the adults) were/are emotional wrecks.
I didn't shed a tear (although I thouht this would be the year)...
A few gifts were exchanged, favorite moments of third grade, a few tears (ok a few complete breakdowns), tons of hugs, tons of photos, and tons of cleaning.
My favorite moment was dismissal.
The 'new' 6th graders got to go first and we lined the halls to clap and cheer them on. Then, once the bus were loaded. We sang 'na na na naaaaaa na na na naaaa Goodbyeeeee' to them as we waved AND as they waved back!
Here's some snapshots...
Moral of the Story: Every ending opens a beginning.
You are DEFINITELY not a goon. Kids can be awesome.
