Melts your Heart: A student informed me this morning that she had picked out her Halloween costume...drumroll...she's going to be me! While flattered, I'm starting to wonder what a 'me' would like. I have been told that a 'plop' will be worn.
Doesn't Melt Your Heart: At an assembly today, as I looked like I was loving it (what we do for the kids)...ok, at points I was enjoying it because I couldn't imagine being an actress who goes around and memorizes poetry and performs it. So, I was laughing not with but at...I confess...
Anyway, I was watching the clock, they had one more skit. As the guy wearing a Metaphors Be With You shirt ran around like a clown (which kids love, but I have a vision of broken, stepped-on fingers) selecting kids to go on stage, he runs toward the stages and slaps me on the shoulder ( I think I may need workers' comp-jp) and says 'And you, too!' I about died. And, silently cursed in my head.
So, there I trampled on to the stage and had to act out driving a spaceship with aliens that crashes on earth. What does this look like? Me driving a NASCAR bumping into safer barriers. I did put it in park after we crashed. Just for safety.
Moral of the Story: Some things melt your heart. Others don't. What will you cling to?
