Rebel for a Cause

I felt like a rebel taking a half day from school. It was the first time I've ever done that.

I felt like a rebel being outside the walls of learning. The air was amazing.

I had a doc's appt.

And, then it was off to get 'dolled' up and be a rebel and eat a bowl of Fruit Loops for lunch. Bad to the bone.

Linda and I metro'd on up to the ACS Cancer Action Network (which is like a sister to ACS Relay For Life...it's the branch which promotes advocacy and lobbies Congress for much needed funds for cancer research) Diamond Celebration. 10 years! The nonprofit organization has worked tirelessly for 10 years to make cancer research a national priority.

You know how smoking in public spaces is illegal in most states now including Va? You have ACS CAN to thank for that.

Welp, when in DC do what the Washingtonians do.

Just think about it...survival rates are increasing, early detection rates are increasing, and many more Americans are celebrating more birthdays.
