OBGYN + Mocassins = Wicked

Caveat: this may be TMI.

Once upon a time, I signed up for accident insurance due to my ability to break bones and a history of sports-related surgeries.

Well, then I found out that they would cut me a $60 check if I went to the OBGYN as a form of preventative health.

Now, naturally, I'd still visit the OBGYN had I not be offered $60 for prevention as it's a great alternative of awareness as opposed to cancer.

However, this $60 check idea just totally made the trip even better. Something tangible. I'd make this work and not put the appointment off. The doc asked if I had any questions and I basically jumped at him to make sure I'd get the check. He laughed hysterically at my idea. I don't know why.

So, I had a plan.

I'd go to the OBGYN basically in order to get the $60 check (and have a clearness of health) and then buy a brand new smackin' pair of LL Bean's Wicked Good Moccasins.

So, I sucked up the awkwardness of it all and dreamt of those furry, warm slippers.

And, guess what?! They just arrived and they're the (insert awesome word).

Moral of the Story: Sometimes out of awkwardness, comes great things.
