Martin Luther King Jr Day

The Smart Cookies and I are studying biographies. Naturally, all my guided reading groups read a bio on Martin Luther King, JR this past week.

It led to amazing dialogues, questions, and sharing of experiences.

Smart Cookie: I'm so thankful for the changes MLK helped make. If he hadn't of helped, then I wouldn't have you as a teacher.

Now, think, how many social interactions or mentors or relationships would be inhibited or nonexistent had MLK not stood for something?

This child is on to something.

Gives me goosebumps to attempt to imagine.

Moral of the Story: "The time is always right to do what is right."
