My Grams was right...again

My Grams is slightly like a prophet.

I can remember certain quips she always said while I was growing up.

Many have become truth.

"Don't ever, ever cut your hair. Keep that Hudson hair." Granted yes, I've cut it to donate but I've never cut it too short.

"You'll own a house by the time your 25." 2-0 in Grams' favor.

"No one can take your education away." 3-0 now for Grams.

"If you've got you're health, then you've got everything."- Welp, Grams is up 4-0 now.

About a month ago, I lost hearing in one of my ears and developed constant ringing. For 2 full weeks, that was my story. While I kept it on the DL, the doctor called it 'mysterious' for my age and that was what I was left with. Thankfully, after 2 weeks it subsided. But, I learned a few things through that experience. To have all 5 senses is a huge praise. Just having 1 sense tainted through off so many of my daily functions. Also, I appreciate having 2 friends who are SLPs and were truly helpful and empathetic. Third, prayers that are simple and be useful.

Lately, I feel like I've been spending more time in the hospital for friends, relatives, and players than I'd like.

Surely, it has brought home the gift of health.

Moral of the Story: If you've got you're health, then you've got everything.
