Weekend Visitor

Rebecca came for 3 nights. And, she didn't smell.

Remember that old adage or something about visitors coming and then starting to smell after a few days.

Heck, not here.

I was so excited for her visit. She was out of the car and it was like we hadn't missed a beat since we last saw each other at UVA homecoming.

We had absolutely no plan, which sometimes is the best plan.

The weekend was composed of relaxing, hanging out, girl talk, encouraging, great walks, wine, good food, UVA nostalgia, catching up, dreaming of our futures, laughing, calling each other out, Downtown, and sharing life.

Ironically, this is the 3rd year in a row that we've managed to get together for this weekend.

Saturday, almost the whole gang got together for vineyard hopping.

I'm proud of this because it definitely takes effort.

But, the effort and comfort of spending time with a true friend ends up being truly effortless.

I admire many traits about Rebecca. From her tenacity to her simple understanding, she's a winner.

Here are some snapshots of the fun.

Moral of the Story: True friendship isn't being inseparable, but being separate and nothing changes.
