Team USA comes to UVA

July 27th can't come soon enough...Olympics time.

I read a few months ago in the UVA Alum magazine, that UVA was chosen to host a friendly between Team USA and #2 Argentina on the new field hockey field. 2 girls from UVA made the USA roster.

So, yesterday, EV's lot was loaded with high schoolers, parents, and coaches as we all loaded up and made the trek to the free game.

H & L trying to quench their thirst with rain drops.
I lucked out. Ok, I work with some great coaches. I ended up not having to drive, so I got to eat dinner and go to the game with the Williams B & B clan. It was fun for us all to sit together. And, then, I just stayed the night...because why not? It's summer.

It was really fun to watch the best of the sport play a game. To chant, U-S-A is a great feeling, as well.

The game ended in a 1-1 tie. It was great to see the stands loaded with local high school field hockey players.

Moral of the Story: Can't beat a humid summer night watching a national team with family and friends.
