Ironically within 24 hours, these 2 babies were born.
A boy. A girl.
Both to two loving, authentic families.
The mothers were both mentors for me.
Kristen changed who I am as a teacher by allowing me to shadow and partner with her every year I was at UVA. She'll be a great mom because she welcomed me and let me go for it. Her child will not be sheltered.
Angie changed who I am as a teacher because she let me do my thing and then when I ran into a speed bump we'd talk. She was not drama. She'll be a great mom (3x) because she sets you up for success and then is there when help is needed. Her baby boy will explore and won't be drama.
While being a parent is hard work, they both keep a smile on their face. I hope to be the same.
Moral of the Story: For these 2 families, I was so excited for the new bundle of joy. Because of them, the world will be a better place.
