Tuesday Tidbits

• I was really impressed by 2 things today...#1)The beach had to be evacuated because of a storm. The lifeguards blew their whistles once and then motioned. And, thousands of people left...with respect and good attitudes. #2) We went down to the boardwalk for ice cream tonight. There's a military band every night. Tonight was soldiers. And, they were singing cover songs in their uniforms. They sang 'I'll Stand By You.' There I am surrounded by hundreds of tan people, the crowd is abuzz, the ocean is crashing in the background, kids are dancing, and the army is singing 'I'll Stand By You.' Shouldn't it have been the other way?
• Normally, I don't watch tons of tv. Yet, BRAVO is becoming my new bff.
• Momma makes us breakfast every morning. Even Portis gets scrambled eggs.
• The plop is in full force.
• I love, love people watching at the beach.
• My psych-major-self loves people watching even more. 
• Every night at the beach has resulted in my laughing so hard that a drink has gone up my nose and sometimes out.
• I ran the local 5K spontaneously on Sunday morning. Momma: "Why do you do those things? And, why would you do something that you could have done in Cpep?"It is true, I do not like 5Ks. But, it was fun to do one where sand was your environment. Daddy even tried to come out and catch my finish.
• I'll confess...you're going to barf...I have a itching to get back into the classroom. I know, I know.   But, I do love it.
• Can you imagine how happy a bird with a french fry must be?
• 60 days until UVA football kickoff. 

Moral of the Story: I do think sugar and spice are important too, but...
