The human brain constantly yields to decisions shaped by the soul.
I find myself navigating my life values consistently.
But, it's a few times a year that I robustly reflect on my life. Where I have been. Where I have not been. Where I am. Where I am going. Where I am not going.
These times usually occur on...
- the crisp, freshness of a new calendar year.
- the unveiling of a new year of life in March.
- the approach of a new school year.
I recognize at an end is a beginning. It's at the end of the year, an end of a year of life, and the end of summer that a beginning occurs.
The beginning is my chance to quite frankly have another chance at intentionally living.
During this time, I think about psychology's core life values (listed in no particular order)...
- family
- financial resources
- friends
- health & fitness
- home & place
- leadership
- leisure pursuits
- personal growth
- public service
- spirituality
- work satisfaction

While I'm not 100% anchored in the results, it does help me acknowledge my priorities and areas that I thought were priorities that actually aren't.
Life's enlightening. Reflection's even more.
