The Good Stuff

Each morning while getting ready for school, I watch CNN New Day.  I have to leave for school before Chris Cuomo does "The Good Stuff".  I follow it on the internet.  I loved the one they did on the elderly lady in Canada who sets at her window (her home is on a street near a school) each morning and waves at the children going to school.  The school honored her at an assembly.  Truly-- ordinary acts make life extraordinary.

So my new theme on my Monday blog is going to be "The Good Stuff".

Some "Good Stuff" this week:

SNOW DAYS--Dave and I watching NCIS marathon on USA and relaxing.  Enjoying watching The Today Show.

Dave and I meeting Anni at Pete's on Friday night (a family owned pizza place that Momma used to take me during my college days--one of the last places we took Momma to eat before her passing--whenever Drew is home we go there-- how many times we have eaten there--it's a family tradition and a Culpeper gathering place for Culpeper natives).

Meeting my friend since 3rd grade for our weekly talkfest on Saturday for breakfast at Chick Filet--nothing fancy.

Warm enough Saturday to open the windows.

Teaching about tides to my sixth grade students and somehow getting on the topic of kayaking on the ocean and them laughing because I told them I would never do that because I was scared I would flip over and would not be able to get out.  Well, the next day as they came into class, they would laugh and say, "I saw you kayaking last night."  They think it is so funny.

Worth keeping us posted on the William and Mary tennis trip back from California in the snowstorm.  They flew out of San Diego on the red eye Sunday night 12:30 am our time.  Got into Newark Airport around 4 in the morning--flight to Richmond cancelled--at this point they are on standby for a flight at 1pm.  Praying for the good stuff--their flight isn't cancelled. Well just got a call from Worth--1 pm flight cancelled now on standby for 7 pm flight to Richmond-- poor Worth--good stuff you can always vent your frustration to your Momma.

Page and Jimmy taking Anni a heating pad during the snowstorm--she has a stiff neck--poor little Anni--wish she was here with us.  All the great memories of snow days when Anni and Worth were at home--the good stuff.

Good stuff--spring will be here soon!

Wishing you health, joy,and the "good stuff".
