See the Grand Canyon. Check.
Stand in two different places at once. Check.
Get a passport. Check.
Hike Old Rag. Check.
Host a Pampered Chef party. No Check.
These are all items on my bucket list. After tonight, I can place a check next to the 'Host a Pampered Chef party.'
Why is hosting a Pampered Chef party next to visiting a natural wonder of the world?
I created my bucket list during college. I only add to my list. At that time, a Pampered Chef party represented many weaknesses I had ranging from domestication to cooking to hospitality to hosting a dinner party. It seemed just as foreign to me as seeing the Grand Canyon.
It still represents weaknesses I'm honing.
So, better late than never.
I invited friends over last night as another friend was the consultant for the party. I chose June because we all need a breath of fresh air as we enter warm summer evenings. And, sometimes, you just need some girl time. I'm thankful for the fellowship around the table.
Moral of the Story: There is nothing more liberating than doing something you've been wanting to do.
