They qualified as one of the final four teams in the state. So, we loaded up the county's activity bus and headed to Virginia Beach, VA for a wonderful opportunity.
The ladies got to play at the National Field Hockey Training Center while representing their high school and Cpep community.
We were able to enjoy fellowship, share meals, cram a hotel room with 30 ladies as we watched Hoosiers, and enjoy being at the beach.
Heart-warming moments included our lovely bus driver, watching my brother walk down the boardwalk to visit our team, the ladies standing on the crisp turf field during Opening Ceremonies, my principal calling to wish us luck, and the game beginning as our sideline was loaded with just as many fans as the hometown teams.
Moral of the Story: I went to states with Coach Allen in 2003 as a player, it was a lifetime memory. I only hope lifetime memories were created during this school trip.
