Back-to-School

Wait it's July. I told myself I wouldn't really think about school until August. I must enjoy summer, because once we start it's a long haul with no flexibility or breaks.

But, I can't help myself.
  • Exhibit A-Momma and I loved browsing all the new, fresh, and clean school supplies. You cannot beat Wal-Mart's prices. Momma and I both work at schools where many of our kid's will show up waiting for their supplies. Thank you Wal Mart for helping a teacher out.
  • Exhibit B-This email from Christina (2nd grade teacher) greeted me in my inbox this morning. It is so true. That's why I always ask, "tell me about your picture."
  • Dear Mrs. Jones,
  • I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer.
  • I work at Home Depot and I told my daughter how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit.

I told her we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it. Her picture doesn’t show me dancing around a pole.

It’s supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot , From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Smith
Moral of the Story: Momma (in Wal Mart as I count out 114 comp notebooks for her kids): "Getting ready for school is my favorite time of the year. All the new stuff. The kids will really think they're something with a colored composition book. Don't stop at 113 that's bad luck. Get 1 more."
