Weekend in the Poconos

I spent Friday-Sunday enjoying a Young Life Teacher Summit in the Poconos.

Highlights:

~road tripping

~sitting next to the guest speaker at dinner just after he witnessed me kicking in our stuck hotel door

~fellowship (I really didn't know one person before I went)

~visiting Lake Champion (a Young Life camp)

~knowing the words to the 'hit' music of today (thank you H and students for keeping me young)

~expressing, experiencing, and seeing God's presence

~my search for an Amish person

Things Acknowledged/Affirmed:

~I'm weary of Christian leaders.

~I refuse not to be myself. This is me...take it or leave it.

~God works any many different ways...all the time.

Moral of the Story:

I find myself once again thinking and needing to pray more about, 'what am I capable of with God this year?'
