The Night Before A New School Year...

Ellen and I have been having this discussion...

On the Night Before A New School Year...

I prayed since January that God's Will would be done in my life regarding my career and location. Recently, the prayer changed to may I have the strength to go against logic and society to follow God's Will.

And here I am...in Culpeper teaching 3rd grade at the school I went to kindergarten following God's Will.

But, I'm in such a better spot in life. This is the year that I have the gumption to attempt to 'lose' it to God. To pursue God unashamedly and full-heartedly. And, it all feels so right.

Ghandi proclaimed, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

Through teaching, coaching, Relay For Life, and Young Life, I hope to be that change. I will be the change, no matter how small my impact. Because every little bit adds up to make a big difference.

This is not easy. I feel as though I have taken the harder route. Rather than moving away and escaping my dislikes, I'm going to challenge them, engage in them, and live with them.

I have no clue what the next year holds. But, I do know that God is with me, my friends are a foundation, my Cpep/Cville families support me, and I refuse to give life anything but my all.

Moral of the Story: "If you cling to your life, you will lose it, and if you let your life go, you will save it."
New Living Translation Luke 17:33
