After meandering my way home this afternoon from meetings, I was at my last stop...Walmart.
Momma Pilot (colleague on my third grade team) sent this picture and text "help a large limb of the apple tree broke."
yup, a bathtub filled with apples
Well her house is only 2 miles away, so the decision was made that I had to stop by for a minute. And, I heart apples. Well, a minute turned into a few hours. It was balm for my soul to shoot the breeze on a raining Friday afternoon. After the busy, chaotic days this week and what beholds of next week, we could only savor sharing laughs, 'light' gossip (mostly about Grams and my 'exes'), and catching up with Momma Pilot and Captain Mike (her husband).
applesauce
Momma Pilot and Captain Mike are two of the kindest people I have met. They are what I aspire to be. Loving, funny, authentic, sincere, investing, unselfish, Godly, salt-of-the-earth people.
They were part of my saving grace last year.
Moral of the Story: These spontaneous, simple moments are some of my most cherished memories.
